This page explains how to permanently delete your XpenseAI account and all data associated with it. XpenseAI is developed and operated by the XpenseAI team; this is our official account-deletion process, referenced from our Privacy Policy.
01How to request deletion
Account deletion isn't yet self-service inside the app — you request it and we action it manually within a few business days. Two ways to start:
- From inside the app: Settings → Profile → Delete account. This opens a pre-filled email to us; just hit send.
- By email directly: send a message from the email address or phone number your account uses to sign in, with the subject "Delete my account".
Include the email or phone number you sign in with so we can locate the right account. We reply to confirm once deletion is complete.
02What gets deleted
- Your profile and sign-in identity
- All transactions, accounts, budgets, and goals
- Any staged or in-progress Gmail statement data
- Stored Gmail/Drive OAuth tokens (access is also independently revoked)
- Notification and subscription records tied to your account
Nothing is retained after deletion — we don't run banking or payment systems ourselves, so there's no separate financial ledger of yours kept elsewhere. (Our billing partner, Razorpay, retains payment records as required by Indian financial regulation, independent of us — contact them directly for that data.)
03Partial deletion
To remove only your Gmail access without deleting your whole account, disconnect Gmail from Settings, or revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions page — no need to email us for that.
