01Summary

XpenseAI Premium is a recurring subscription, not a one-time purchase — there's no physical good or single deliverable to "return." Once a billing period is charged, we don't issue partial or pro-rated refunds for that period, including if you stop using the app partway through it. This is standard for subscription software and is stated in section 6 of our Terms of Service.

The sections below cover the situations where a charge can still be reversed or avoided.

02Free trial

When a free trial is offered, your payment method is authorized but not charged at signup. If you cancel any time before the trial ends, you are not charged at all — this is the main way to avoid ever needing a refund in the first place. Once a trial converts to a paid period (or you subscribe without a trial), the charge for that period is final per section 1.

03Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel any time from Settings > Subscription in the app. Cancelling stops future renewals — it does not refund the current period. You keep Premium access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and your account then reverts to the free tier's limits. Nothing you've tracked or imported is deleted when this happens.

04Billing errors & duplicate charges

If you were charged in error — a duplicate charge, a charge after you'd already cancelled, or an amount that doesn't match the pricing shown in the app — contact us and we'll investigate and correct a genuine billing mistake. This is different from a refund for change of mind: it's us fixing our own error, and we'll do that regardless of the "no refunds" policy above.

05Purchases via Google Play or the App Store

If your subscription was purchased through Google Play or Apple's App Store rather than directly in the app, that store processed your payment and its own refund policy applies to that charge, not ours:

Requests for those purchases need to go through the store, since we don't have the ability to issue a refund on a charge the store itself processed.

06Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continued use of a paid subscription after a change means you accept the update.
